Embossed White Metal Chest of Drawers

This brand new edition to our White Metal range is real head turner. A White Metal chest that has been embossed by hand using age old techniques first used by furniture makers for the Maharaja’s palaces. The sheets of nickel alloy are hammered over hand carved wooden blocks to create the distinctive motif combining floral and geometric elements. This chest compliments the other embossed furniture in our range, the Embossed wardrobe and the Embossed bedside tables. The silvery tones of the Nickel alloy used in White Metal furniture also appear more gold in some lighting. This Indian embossed chest has a real Rajasthani feel to it with the motif being inspired by traditional rangoli patterns used by Hindu villagers to welcome guests to their homes by laying out these patterns in their doorways with flower petals and rice.
