First, the chest itself is hand carved and fitted by our woodworkers, who then layer the wood with delicate pieces of nickel alloy before polishing the entire piece to a high shine. The original metal overlay furniture can still be seen in the magnificent palaces of northern India, making this white metal chest a true piece of Indian tradition.
