The stunning furnishings at Iris can create the perfect ambience at Christmas time. With many of our larger pieces embellished with camel bone and mother of pearl, we know that our clients often want something a little difference and are conscious of style in the interior design of their home.
Our new mother of pearl star range of wooden furniture has arrived just in time for Christmas entertaining. Using the very same ethically sourced, highest quality sheesham and mango wood, our new range has been intricately finished with a dense mother of pearl star pattern. The stunning, eye-catching design links function with form, and a large chest of drawers in a lounge or drawing room would make an excellent statement piece to set the mood for your wintery displays and decorations. Our home page proudly features the Star range hand painted with a teal finish, a stunning colour to make the iridescent, frosty pearl colours pop. The range uses rather more mother of pearl due to the large star pattern running throughout the pieces. The paint colour can be changed and finished to order – a red and white design would be a bold and magnificent colour choice to welcome in the season.
Currently offering a 20% discount on all furniture orders, Iris are also proud to showcase the delicately textured, hand carved wooden almirah, drawers and bedside table. This range is exceptionally beautiful and as featured, looks incredible in shades of white and distressed white, giving a greyish tone to the hand carved designs. This would create a beautiful feminine luxury to any room, and the rich greens and blues of your Christmas tree would really compliment the subtle yet extravagant detailing to the range. Lighter coloured paint finishes also give a similar, opulent effect when paired with our mother of pearl designs. The range is based on traditional Indian designs, and the mosaic like effect is composed from hundreds of polished pieces made from mother of pearl. These segments are carefully inlaid on to wood by our master craftsmen and women in Rajasthan. Just in time for that special someone, or to add some panache to your home in time for holiday parties or dining, Iris currently offer a special festive discount of 20% on items not already featured in their pre-Christmas sale.
Remember, the size and type of Christmas tree can really add or subtract attention to your living space, and for the design and decoration conscious this run-down could help you create the best Christmas ambience at home.
Iris Furnishings’ Quick Guide to Christmas Trees:
Norway Spruce
Pyramid in shape, with a tendency to drop needles – these are a lovely texture and shape and can suit most décor choices.
Nordmann Fir
Dark green foliage, soft leaves, more suited to fewer decorations. A popular choice with the ability to hold its needles well. This is the most common tree seen at Christmas time. This type of tree would suit those rooms with a countryside feel or a grander, more traditional style.
Blue Spruce
Elegant with natural blue foliage. Blue trees look fantastic in more modern rooms, and can compliment monochrome colour schemes or our polished nickel white metal furniture range – a glamourous choice!
Fraser Fir
Tall and thin, this tree type is leaner in shape with much denser foliage. This would suit a smaller home with limited space.
