White and Blue bone inlay large sideboard

This handmade Rajasthani sideboard is a masterpiece of the Indian geometric inlay tradition. Literally hundreds of hours of artistic labour go in to the creation of the repeating pattern, carefully laid out in a mosaic of individual bone pieces. This large and spacious Indian bone inlay sideboard features a pure White smooth background with inlaid bone pieces which are dyed blue. The blue dye blends with the natural grain like effect of the bone to give an organic finish with each bone piece as individual as a finger print.

Four drawers, each with solid bone handles give handy storage solutions, and the four cupboard sections give practical and roomy space to store all manner of household items. Equally at home in a.bedroom or living room this large sideboard will grace your home for generations to come since it built to last and is a world away form the throw away flat packed furniture so common today. Like all our furniture this piece is handcrafted in Rajasthan and comes fully assembled.

The bone is sourced from Camels that die of old age in the deserts to the north of Jodhpur, a plentiful resource which is recycled in our inlay furniture production. The wood is sourced from sustainable sources and our workshops maintain the highest welfare standards. Our frequent visits to India ensure these standards do not slip and we strive to maintain. the closest relationship possible with our suppliers.
