The metal cupboard is hand crafted by Rajasthan’s master craftsmen, who lay sheet nickel over sheesham wood to give a unique surface and soft, reflective lustre, that can be polished or left to achieve any degree of mat or shine, as you prefer. The top of the cupboard is embossed by hammering the sheets of nickel alloy over carved wooden blocks- a technique that dates back hundreds of years and remains unchanged Sheesham wood is known for its longevity, durability and resistance to changes in temperature and humidity while corrosion resistant nickel boasts the very same qualities. This means you can bring it up to a fine, high shine even when its been left uncared for for a while. You can also expect a long life from the Indian cupboard.
The artisans of Rajasthan have perfected their techniques throughout the ages, proving their value to Royalty since the 15th Century and receiving royal patronage since the Rajput era right through until today. Now academy trained master craftsmen continue to create the finest unique pieces, working all raw materials by hand to bring a perfect original piece of Indian furniture into being.

How do I clean metal furniture?
Very easily. Brasso or Silvo will work perfectly. You’ll need two soft polish cloths. One to apply a small amount of the liquid to the metal cupboard, rubbing gently in small circles until you see the liquid blacken a little. Leave it for no more than a minute and then polish with the other cloth, until you achieve your desired effect. Your perfect metallic sideboard will shine like new for you.
